SQLHelp - Test installed components
When SQLHelp starts up it will test your computer system to ensure that
the components it needs to function are installed and present. Should a
component be found to be missing, a window will appear with information
regarding the component. If no components are missing, this window will
not appear.
Windows NT and Higher Notes
When running on Windows NT and higher (that is Windows NT/2000/XP/2003), the
installation of software can only be performed by local machine administrators
(members of the Administrators local security group). If you are missing
one or more components on your system, these components may only be installed by
a local machine administrator.
Windows Server 2003 Notes
When running on Windows Server 2003 with the Internet Explorer Enhanced
Security Settings in place, you may experience difficulties locating some of the
missing components. Specifically:
- If you are missing the Common Controls, you will need to add *.pikauba.com
to your trusted sites list otherwise you will not be able to download the
installation package.
- If you are missing any other component, you will be redirected to a web
page within the microsoft.com domain structure. If you have not added *.microsoft.com
as a trusted site, you will receive many warnings of unsafe content and will
not be able to download the missing components.
After the installation of SQLHelp is complete, you can safely remove both *.pikauba.com
and *.microsoft.com from your trusted sites list if you so
desire.

- Locate For each missing component a locate button may be
present. Press the locate button to be taken to a web site containing
information on how to obtain the missing component.
- Refresh If you have installed a missing component while
SQLHelp was running, press Refresh to determine if there are additional
requirements. If all the components are present, you'll be taken to Step
1.
- Continue You always have the option of attempting to use
SQLHelp to process your SQL files without the required component. Depending upon the missing piece, SQLHelp may still function in a
limited fashion, or may not function at all
